Years ago I decided to combine all my loves: art, fashion and archaeology. I began making Native American petroglyph pottery and dolls. A friend suggested I sell them at a local Pow Wow. It was a 3-day show. I sold out of almost everything…the show was a huge success. Thus the beginning of Artchaeology. (The ART of Archaeology) My love of all cultures, rocks, antiques, jewels, linens, fabrics, trims, gems and the fact that many cultures are very similar, lead to expand from Native culture. My designs now include African, Asian, Celtic, Australian, Hispanic, Ancient Roman, Egyptian and many more. My historic fashion pieces inspired by CLASSIC Hollywood. I combine antique beads and fabric with new fiber-fill to make my dolls. I combine ancient designs with creative licensing to create much of my art. Most of my ancient inspired art is, in contrast, framed with a very mod Euroframe. Most of the jewelry designs combine new findings and hardware with antique and vintage beads.

I am a graduate of fashion design, art history, and costume design. I have been an artist since I was born. My mother was a miniaturist artist. Creating beautiful hand crafted 1-inch scale miniatures till her battle with cancer ended in 1998. Even while in the hospital mom created miniatures. Look for her creations on this site in the near future. Both of my parents were poets so I learned to appreciate and write poetry at an early age. All the poems and greeting card verses within my art are original.
