All About Me

What everyone should know about me

I am an excellent baker, I use real butter. Too many people don't use real butter anymore. The world would be a better place if more people used real butter! I am a BAND mom. I followed and worked for bands in the 80s, here I am with the band again!

Things I sell

Nice things I'd like to find good homes for, clothes I thought my kids would live but never wore....assorted Westerbergian stuff that I have lying around and I sell to get on my husband's good side ;), if I am feeling especially ambitious soon I will start selling my cookies. I am a very good baker ;).

Things I buy

EVERYTHING!!! I LOVE EBAY!! Since I signed on in '01, I probably bought 90% of all birthday/Christmas gifts here! I am always looking for things with paw prints on them because my sons' marching band are the Panthers. I get the best things on ebay!! It's my favorite site period!!

Things I collect

I collect lips (not Rocky Horror lips, not Stones lips or mouths with teeth). I love anything with paw prints. and anything margarita-y since I host a teacher margarita party at the end of the year for all of my kids' teachers. Different entertaining things since my husband and I are excellent party hosts!

Drinking good Napa cabernet, it's simply my favorite. My husband and I enjoy good wine and food, I am a great baker and decent cook. I love making computer things like buttons, cards and my latest obsession: shrinky dink computer paper! You can make personalized wine charms and earrings with shrinky dinks! I buy everything except groceries on the internet, I hate going to the mall!

Favorite Books

Anne Tyler, Laurie Colwin, TC Boyle, Oscar Wilde, John Kennedy Toole, Elizabeth Berg...if I had to pick a favorite all time book it would be Confederacy of Dunces by Toole.

Favorite Movies

The originals of Wuthering Heights (I cannot live without my life, I cannot die without my soul and Death Takes a Holiday. North By Northwest, A Place In The Sun, His Girl Friday, All About Eve, Guess Who's Coming To Dinner....all the old movies with Katherine Hepburn, Bette Davis, Cary Grant and Montgomery Clift!

Favorite Music/Bands

The Replacements/Paul Westerberg.....the pioneers, I spend a lot of time saying things to my sons like -If it wasn't for the Replacements would be working at a gas station today-. Etta James, John Eddie, Wilco, Van Morrison, John Coltrane, anything from The Pitman High School Instrumental music department

Favorite TV Shows

The Office, Slings and Arrows, Sopranos....favorites from long ago include Frasier, The Larry Sanders Show, Twin Peaks.
