Review of Phu bai from one who was there
This an excellent "who dun it" but the main reason I bought this book is because I was stationed at the 8th RRFS in Phu Bai with the ASA (Army Security Agency) during the time frame the story is set in and I was curious about the accuracy of the details. The ASA was never officially acknowledged to even be in Vietnam and we operated under the cover of "radio research units" directly with the NSA (National Security Agency) The author (who was there when I was there although I didn't know him personally)was spot on in his description of the facility and it's activities as well as descriptions of Saigon, DaNang and Cam Rahn Bay. This, at least for me was the higlight of the book and re-awakened many 40+ year old memories. To thisofficially acknowledged casualty of the Vietnam War was ASA (James Davis, for whom Davis Station in Saigon was later named) and was killed just outside of Saigon. This intriguing mystery yarn with some interesting twists puts the reader accurately in the little known world of the ASA and electronic espionage.
Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 200-500 mm f/5.6 ED  VR Lens

Incredibly sharp !!!
Unbelievably sharp !!!! Researched this lens quite thoroughly before I purchased it.I have owned Nikon since the 60's (yes I'm that old...a retired photographer). This lens replaced a Nikon 80-400D that wasn't bad but with my D810 and D750 it's performance was marginal. The images from this lens are stunning. The examples shown are all handheld. The attached images of the Blue Angels and dragonfly shots are extreme crops, hand held at 500mm. The only issue is the lens shade which has a tendency to fall off, albeit rarely. I solved this minor issue by putting 2 small strips of gaffer tape between the shade and the barrel. I also bought a used 95mm screw on shade that works fine and plays well with the Nikon glass. Also, the lens cover/bag thingie that it comes with the lens is a joke. Invest in a large ApeCase large lens case. Cheap and holds the lens with body attached safely and securely. Buy this lens !! You won't regret it..
NEW Nikon MB-D16 Multi Battery Power Pack/Grip for D750, USA model

Excellent product.
Typical Nikon quality. Makes using a D750 much easier for those with large hands. IMHO, however, it is way overpriced.
