Business InformationHistory/background
A Better Footprint was founded in early 2007 as Worldgoods Fair Trade, as part of a promise to people living in poor, remote villages of The Gambia, West Africa. A Better Footprint ensures customers that products are free of sweatshops, child labor, and that all artisans are paid a fair price for their work. We work with several Fair Trade Federation members and we also support many Gambian programs and cooperatives that are generating much needed income for families, keeping kids in school, and cleaning the environment.
