In Japanese, Aimi is a female name that consists of two Japanese characters. The first, AI means ONE WHO LOVES ~ the second, MI means BEAUTY or BEAUTIFUL. In Japanese, the terms are not automatically combined to mean LOVER OF BEAUTY ~ yet, here they are. Here, the meaning is also expand—moving beyond a mere name for one person (or a business), Aimi’s Collectibles is for all who love beauty. Each item in Aimi's store has been carefully inspected, researched and authenticated. Thus, can relax and enjoy their timeless beauty as well as their rich history. I posted an image of A MERMAID (1901) by John William Waterhouse (1849-1917) in my store because she has collected beautiful things from what appears to be the Pacific ocean near where I have lived most of my life (in Japan, Micronesia, and now in California), yet also as a symbol of all things that are beautiful, especially those that come into existence as a result of the mixing of multiple elements.
