Shipping information
I like to ship Priority because the USPS provides the boxes free and I can get delivery confirmation free for postage printed online. I recycle as many materials as possible and keep shipping costs to their lowest as a courtesy to both the buyer and eBay. On Media Mail, I may add $0.25 - $0.50 to cover the delivery confirmation and packing materials.
Return policy
I've never had anything returned. Update 2 January 2009: Up until today, that is. Today, someone who bought four pair of 3-in shoes that I had been told fit Cabbage Patch Dolls wants to return them, as she gave them to her daughter for Christmas, and they didn't fit those dolls: as cloth dolls, they must have puffy undefined ankles and insteps. I don't mind taking them back: they are beautiful shoes sold at rock-bottom price. Like Prince Charming, I have eliminated the ugly stepsisters and am now looking for the dolls that fit 3-in shoes for normal instep & ankle. March 2007: looked like I would have one item returned, a Futurama Tin Sign, large & heavy, just under a pound of tin, that arrived at its destination, via Priority Mail, looking like it had been hit with a roadside bomb. No policy on that; it wasn't insured, so technically it's not my problem, but buyer was very nice about negotiating some sort of solution acceptable to the both of us. The mangled sign never did come back.
