This title works; it's consistent within the series.
J.K. Rowling does the job of providing us with a book that may be read as a solo, while also working quite well within the series. To the beginner or first-time reader, the amount of engaging action and unexpected turns and small lines that catch one off guard, the reader feels quite compelled to continue reading. To the advanced or re-reader, one will much appreciate the links that are drawn between books, both between the first book and the succeeding books.
