My husband smokes outdoors only. Our home has pets that are allowed in certain areas only. They are never in my craft room, laundry room or areas near it.

Started sewing at 8. I took sewing in high school & loved it!. It wasn't until I had children before I really got into it. I loved making them dresses w/matching hats & costumes. Soon they needed doll & bear clothes. I went to craft shows & fairs. I recently learned hand piecing/quilting & really enjoy that. That's when the Lord urged me to take care of the fostercare children, the terminally ill children & the elderly w/o family w/handmade blankets & quilts. As we(my mom & daughters help now) make them, we pray over each one. Sometimes we hand them out at hospitals & nursing homes, sometimes God gives a name or a lead through a friend. We started out in New Market,TN & now in Jefferson City,Knoxville,Sweetwater,Louden,Sevierville & Dandridge. If you need to feel better about yourself, go love on someone unconditionally. You won't believe how good it feels. No wonder God tells us to take care of them in the bible. It's good medicine for the giver & the person receiving it. Be Blessed!

Most of my material is new or like new. All materials are washed & dryed & pressed before using. I often shop at yard sales & thrift stores to find great deals or hard to find items like old buttons, wool felt, antique or vintage material, etc.

I accept donations of material, batting, thread etc. for our blanket ministry. You may want to make a blanket as well & donate it to us or to a local nursing home or hospital. Most are made for terminally ill children & the elderly who are alone or without family, some foster children. So we try to keep the size appropriate to each.
