A must have is the new thing
Is perfect to run your OS. Especially for sata 3 you will see your machine fly. The 60 GB is sufficient for those who don't use too many apps or games. In any other case you should consider double the size. When buying ans SSD have a look at its specs to see the read write speed as they differ considerably.

Not for vacuum tubes
CAN NOT handle the heat of a vacuum tube they just pop, almost hit my stylus.
