Seller is incredibly talented and knowledgeable - I purchased a pair of not-so-inexpensive restored vintage integrated amplifiers and I wouldn't hesitate to do so again. Everything was far better than described, the refurbishing work exceeded military-spec, communication was first-rate, packing was bombproof, and everything sounds... well, AMAZING - Thank You!

AAAA++++ Seller. Extremely fast shipping and packaging was second to none. Took me nearly 10 minutes to unpack the amplifier which arrived safe and sound. Will do business with this seller again.

Quality Pioneer Amplifier A-400 MM/MC Phono Stage *Made in Japan*

It really is a NAD 3020 killer
Imported one of these out of curiosity and to compare to a NAD 3020. It's gone that silky smooth tone associated with british amps and don't believe the comments/reviews that say it has a shrill/forward top-end. The NAD might be slightly warmer at low volume, but I think the A400 is a much classier amp with significantly more clarity across the board. It actually has a similar tone to my rebuilt Sansui AU-777A, but without the bass definition. The bass definition is the weak point of this A400. There is plenty of bass presence, but what sounds like a 'pluck' on my sansui just sound like a undefined tone on the A400. Still, an extremely pleasing sound and i greatly prefer it to the NAD 3020. It also accommodates 2 tape loops which is handy for me with my reel-to-reel machines :). Lack of tone controls is a pity, but the standard tone is, as mentioned above, quite nice.

holds an SLR no problem, light weight and compact, but low quality
The item is very light weight and compact. I bought this as a tripod to carry cycling and it suits that purpose. It would also make a good travel tripod. It holds my Sony A7s no problem. It is really quite sturdy. I just wouldn't use it in windy conditions. However, the thumb screw for tightening the ball joint broke within a week...
