What everyone should know about me

I am a mum of children on the Autistic Spectrum and started this business to tell the NTs about Autism. We employ Adults with Autism to make our items.

Favorite Books

Too Many, but in the last 14 years it is mostly Autism Books I read. My most read book is the ME Book, Teaching children with delvelopemental disorders - Dr Lovaas & Work in Progress- John McEachin are two books I dip into every day!

Favorite Movies

Too Many if I had to pick one - It has to be High Noon! Don't ask why!

Favorite Music/Bands

Jackson Browne is fav but I like all music that I don't have to have sub-titles on to understand what they are singing about!

Favorite TV Shows

Coming from the North only one show for me - Coronation Street! I love The Waltons, and Little house on the prairie too!

Favourite Forum.

We have a great & supportive forum here on eBay, click community, then groups, and then parenting we are called Autism and delvelopmental disorder. A real friendly community, all waiting to welcome you.

I have been trading as Autism Awareness UK on eBay for a few years now. Our main aim is to Raise Autism Awareness. I am , also, an ABA therapist, and have 10 years of experience in ABA. I have lived with Autism for 14 years now, and am still learning about it! Everyday with Autism is different. I have a daft sense of humour and it often reflects in the badges and t-shirts I sell! Autism Awareness UK is Not a charity, but a running business.

I have been looking for ages for some sort of site that sells Autism Awareness type clothes etc and finally ive found this shop its great.There is so much choice i dont know what to buy first i will be passing this site to everyone i know.My son has autism he is the first child in the uk to have an autism assistance dog

Excellent shop - very friendly! I asked for help to make an Autism Awareness flag & Sheena was on the ball and made a fantastic one for our camping trips!! Hi dawcknott You are spot on - Because AS is so invisible, our children are not getting the help they need, 'looking normal' is one the biggest obstacle we have, and the only way we can overcome that is if we all make AS visual, unfortunately my way, is putting billboards on our children, which is such a shame, but that is the only way I could figure out how to educate the NTs. I won't rest until they all 'KNOW','ACCEPT'& 'RESPECT'. Sheena.

i have a son with aspergers and it took years to get him recognised and even now his school wont accept he has problems cos he looks "normal". keep up the good work
