Grandkids
Macey Isabella and Sophie Elizabeth are the two most important things in my life. They bring me such joy. I am thrilled with being a grandma. They have taught me so many things about life that I never really knew. Such innocence. The things that they say are amazing. I could write a book on that. One thing that sticks in my mind is this. My youngest, Sophie, 3 years old, was sitting in my kitchen with her older sister, Macey. We were having a snack or something. Sophie very curiously looked at the walls around her. She said, Grandma, is this house wrap?. I really wasn't sure what she meant until her sister Macey said, Grandma, she means wallpaper. It doesn't get any better than that. Through the eyes of a child. Absolutely wonderful!
Business InformationHistory/background
I have always worked in retail in one form or another. I always wanted to decorate store windows in NY which is my hometown. I moved to Oregon in 1980. I have a married daughter with 2 beautiful little girls. I went back to college in my early 40's, attempting to get a CADC degree, to help addicted persons. I ended up studying for only one year. My husband and I LOVE to camp. That is where we can always re-connect. We camp around the Oregon Coast which is where I live currently.
Payment policy
It is Paypal only at this time. When I started, I was a lot like most. You know, I am going to make my mark here. I am going to do everything that I think all sellers should and can't understand why they don't. Customer service, well, that's number one. I want to give all people the opportunity to shop on eBay. Not just people with credit cards. After about 15 no pays from people who said that they were sending checks/money orders, I had to change my profile.
Shipping information
I use mostly calculated shipping and offer many items with FREE shipping. I will ship first class international with prior arrangements. Priority is my preference. You have to put something in the field for additional items/combined shipping. My rates are quite low and are usually even lower than what is stated. I often go by weight.
Return policy
My return policy was very, very liberal. It only takes a few times of getting burned to realize that the world isn't what it used to be. There are some out there that aren't that trustworthy. Therefore, I have had to change my return policy to read:
Merchandise credit only, No returns unless it is my error. We are all human and if I make a mistake I am only too happy to rectify it.
Contact information
You can contact me at home. I reside in Oregon. My email address is mesman@charter.net. The best place to reach me is through eBay.
Pet Peeves
Buyers who buy and don't pay. Buyers who ignore your emails. Buyers who lie. Buyers who simply don't follow through. Basically, I believe in being up front. I have NEVER given a neg feedback and I have had my share of non paying buyers/winners. I give people EVERY opportunity to work things out. When I am ignored I am left with nothing else to do but give a negative feedback. I hate doing it but I also cannot stand irresponsibility. Oh. I forgot about this. It drives me crazy that HTML can't be used in any emails or text with Ebay. Sometimes, you really want to emphasize something. Also, why not be able to see the original email that you wrote to someone instead of just being able to see their reply?? When you send maybe 30 emails a day, it is almost impossibel to remember what you wrote and to whom.
