All About MeWhat everyone should know about me
Chandler, crafter, and collector of antiques.
Things I sell
I am currently selling things that my mother and uncle have collected over the years. My uncle was a toolmaker,
and inherited a great deal of stuff from my grandparents,
including their house,
and my mother has collected flatware,
dishes,
sewing stuff,
craft supplies,
and just about everything else for over 50 years. Whenever you ask my mother if she has something,
for instance marbles,
there is a shoebox (or larger) in her house somewhere filled with the things. She's very organized. My uncle was a toolmaker,
but is no longer in health to work. He collected high quality tools,
and most are in nearly brand new condition. My grandparents were also collectors,
and saved everything,
in case you might need it someday,
so we needed a hugh dumpster after my grandfather's death in 1997 at age 95 just to throw away the stuff that nobody would possibly ever need. My grandmother had an excellent eye for glassware. Things I collect

Why Belistiwa
It was my grandmother's real name. Even though I probably spell it wrong, my grandmother was called Besse for most of her adult life. The child of Polish/German immigrants, their name was changed when they came to this country. Her real name, Belistiwa, was unknown until 23 years after her death when her birth certificate was found among my grandfather's belongings. He outlived her by 23 years and had never disposed of any of her belongings. A truely married couple, they were married in 1929 and still together until her death in 1975.
Business InformationHistory/background
30 years as office clerk, started a candle/craft business in 2001. Moved from RI to ME in 2006. I recently adopted my 9 year old grandaughter, Patience, who lives with me and is the most beautiful, intellegent, immaginative, wonderful little girl I've ever had the priveledge to know.
Payment policy
I prefer PayPal, but will accept money orders. I prefer postal money orders, as I live 2 doors down from a rural post office, and can bring the money order to them, cash it and mail the object the same day I receive it.
Shipping information
I'll do my utmost to package items to survive shipping. I prefer US Post Office, which is 2 doors down, as it is usually infinately cheaper than UPS, Fedex, or any other shipping service (the closest of which is an hour's drive from my location). Although the US Postal Service has an unfortunate tendency to be less than careful handling packages, I've had few issues with breakage.
Return policy
- Insurance on anything over $20 is required
- No partial refunds.
- Buyer pays all shipping costs.
- Returns due to damage in shipping on insured items will be full refund, including shipping.
- Returns for any other reason than insured damage during shipping, the sale price only will be refunded in full.
