All About MeWhat everyone should know about me
I come from a family of collectors. I discovered eBay about 2 years ago and I was hooked. I thought someday I would open an antique store but who needs to open a shop when you have ebay. I love to collect and learn about new things, it's in my blood.

Business InformationHistory/background
I have been around collectibles/antiques all my life. My great-great grandmother collected hair oranments/decorations (as they were called back then), my great grandmother collected cookbooks, my grandmother and mother collected many things during their lives and my dad collects to many things to list. I also got my husband hooked on collecting. I started collecting marbles around age 6, Japan knick-knacks and Blue Delft around age 9 and my 1st 2 sets of depression glass at age 11. At age 12 I started working for a woman that owned an antique and collectibles shop and ran a local flea market. I learned so much from this wonder lady, she has been in the business for over 40 years now. When I was younger most of our family vacations involved visiting as many antique shops, shows and flea markets as we possibly could. Today my vacations have not changed a bit. We are always out searching for a new treasure, bargin or something to add to our collections that will look great in our home.

Collecting Treasures
My theory is...if you like something and it brings a warmth to your heart or a smile to your face...buy it, collect it. If you tire of that item at some point you can always sell it (hopefully for more than you paid for it) as it has went up in price while you have been hanging on to it. Collecting is also an investment. I only collect things that make me feel good when I look at them. I like items that remind me of my childhood and my grandmothers home. When I pick something to collect, I research it, read as much as I can about it, who made it, when, where, how and why. More knowledge never hurt anyone. The more you know about your collection the better your collection will be and the less chance that you will buy a fake. Make sure to collect things you can afford and will fit in your living space. It is no fun to collect items you can't afford or have to pack away. I use many of my vintage items in the kitchen and around the house. So go out and collect what brings you happiness.
My Advise to Fellow eBay Sellers
Research, research, research your items, know what category to list them under. Always give as much information about the item as you can including it's history if you know it. Be honest about any damage the item might have. Keep your starting price low, if it is a good item, buyers will bid it up. Take 1 or 2 good clear pictures to show off your item. No pictures or bad pictures will not sell any item. Keep your shipping fees down. I will not bid on an item that has huge shipping fees no matter how good of a deal it is. Remember most people are looking for a bargin. Always try to have good communication with buyers. Answer questions promptly. To me no response from a seller means they really don't care if they sell the item or not and I know they won't be selling it to me. Go out of your way to make the customer want to come back and do business with you again. Ship promptly and pack items well. Most of all have fun. If it's no longer fun maybe you should take a break. GOOD LUCK 2 ALL
