It all started many moons ago as a young child walking down the street...a little lady named Mrs. Hatfield said 'Come see my African Violets'. I went in and saw hundreds of these
beautiful plants growing in her windows, under lights, and on her coffee tables...everywhere! Mrs. H. taught me how to start these plants from leaves and shared so many of her
beauties with me...I was bitten by the bug.
Many years have passed since that day in the early 1970's...and I can still see Mrs. Hatfield, looking out at me through her cat-eye glasses and giving me her denture clicking smile
as we potted away on our plants and her saying 'Aren't these just the most wonderful things in the world, David".... Yes, Mrs. Hatfield...yes indeed, they are :)
