I gained my knowledge about the book business while working at a small college bookstore all throughout high school. It seemed easy enough, so I decided to put my knowledge to use and do business for myself. I first started selling books on Half.com in 2005. Later, I expanded my customer base by listing my inventory on both Amazon A1books. I sell mostly nonfiction titles on these marketplaces. Only recently have I used eBay to sell fiction book lots and occasionally other miscellaneous items. Although I have enjoyed this new learning experience, most of my business is still conducted on Half.com and Amazon. In distant future, I would love to become an official small business owner. Owning a cozy bookstore and cafe would fulfill a lifelong dream. This is probably more wishful thinking than anything else, but if my unofficial book business continues to grow and show signs of long-term potential, I might someday own a cozy shop with a sign out front that says: Jo's Cozy Book Nook & Cafe.
