I originally started on Ebay like a lot of sellers....as a buyer. Now I enjoy selling even more than buying. Originally a surgical nurse for 25 years, I much rather work from home as a personal shopper of sorts!

I had been buying on E-Bay starting in 1998 and finally decided to try my hand at selling in 2000 which I found to be even more fun ( well... almost) as buying. I had retired from nursing and was doing medical transcription at home but found I could be my own boss and set my own hours by selling on Ebay. It's challenging and time consuming but to me, worth it. I've met some wonderful people on Ebay (and, yes, some not so wonderful too).

I accept PayPal - PREFERRED, money orders or cashiers checks. Personal checks accepted ONLY IF you are an established customer. All payments due within 5 days of auction close. INTERNATIONAL PAYMENT METHODS: Paypal only. NO EXCEPTIONS. All shipments are through International area.

I WILL GLADLY COMBINE AUCTIONS WITHIN A 5 DAY PERIOD TO SAVE ON SHIPPING COSTS. I ship by USPS Priority mail (or via first class if it is light enough) for domestic shipping and via International First Class or Priority for International shipments. (and I cannot mark your package as a gift - because it's not - so don't ask please). I ship Monday through Saturday within 24 hours of payment - I understand you don't want to wait for your new purchase! I do not ship Parcel post because it takes too long for little cost saving. I charge a dollar handling fee which covers packing & shipping supplies (I purchase all the plastic bags I pack in and the first class bags I ship in, also labels, ink, tape, insert, gas). It's expensive to ship and I cringe sometimes when I see how much some things cost to ship. I wish I had more control over this area but unfortunately I can't buy the US Post Office so I guess we just have to bite the bullet on this. I don't think buyers really understand this.

Item must be returned within: 3 Days Refund will be given as: Money Back Return Policy Details: Contact must be made within 24 hours of receipt . Refunds are made on a case by case basis and only if I have heard from you first. No refunds made for fit or color issues as accurate measurements are given in the auction. Color varies from computer to computer so if color is an important issue for you please bid with caution. No refunds if item is not delivered by the postal service -- I would suggest taking advantage of insurance which I offer. Please do not ask me to accept a return on something because you don't like it or for some frivolous reason. If I've made a mistake I have no problem with returns but that is about the only reason I will accept one. If I accept a return and I find there is nothing wrong with the item I will not refund postage either way.

I am hoping that with the new changes Ebay is instituting in May 2008 that I will be able to continue to sell on Ebay. I am a huge fan of communication. I really do want you, the buyer, to be happy and the only way that will happen is if you are not happy and have a reasonable complaint, then you need to contact me and tell me why. I try to provide everything you need in my auction listings including detailing and measurements so that you can make an informed choice. I think the Golden Rule is a good barometer --- I try to treat others as I want to be treated. I have had thousands of happy buyers over the years --- unfortunately you cannot please everyone and I hope you take the time to read my auction pages, my me page and this page so that you can also be a happy buyer who enjoys what they buy from me.

I wish Ebay had really explained the star rating system to buyers and told them that if you do not leave 5 stars that they would be penalizing the seller in many different ways. Most people do not believe in giving people the highest rating-it's human nature not to think that everything is perfect so buyers leave 4 stars thinking that this is good enough because let's face it-what's wrong with quickly for shipping? The secret is that Ebay doesn't really think quickly is good enough and if you have anything below 4.6 on any of the rating scales you are considered a bottom of the barrel -- even bad -- seller. How disappointing to have worked so hard on your business on Ebay for so many years only to be derailed by something so innocuous. It actually takes 153 individual ratings to raise a star rating from 4.5 to 4.6 -if you are a low volume seller it can take a couple of months to change. On top of this sellers are rated for shipping time - something we have no control over.
