Honoring Veterans on coins.
AS lead docent for a local Veteran's Museum I am always on the watch for items that honor our Veterans. In this instance the depiction of the flag raising at Iwo Jima is the iconic symbol of U.S. victory in WWII. The beauty of its design is self explanatory. There are a number of commemorative dollar coins out there which also honor our Veterans and some are well executed some less so. Of course "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and when it comes to honoring our Veterans all are tops! After all we are the "land of the free because of the brave!"
