Cheap and simple. For strobists who don't use TTL
I am a videographer who has added flash photography to my skill set. I use an old Panasonic GH2 camera which is great for HD Video but not so great for photography (no TTL or liveview preview.) I bought a whole set of Yongnuo YN-460 flashes because they are super cheap, no nonsense and they get the job done. They may not be powerful but they work great indoors. I have Cactus v6 Triggers but I rarely use them because the optical slave works great for 90% of the scenarios that I need them for. "What about outside?" I hear you ask. I use a NiceFoto FLH-13 which connects three Yongnuo's together with one trigger tripling the light output for scenarios when you need more output competing with the sunlight. Three weak flash units combined together gives you plenty of ommph for a very low price. If you know how to handle the flashes without going for automatic options this is a cheap solution. You just have to use you brain a bit more but you save $$$ and have more control. Buy these if you are serious - if you're a weekend warrrior who want's all their settings automatic then this is not the flash for you.
