Good product for under $100. I would try paying $50 or less.
2 of 2 found this helpful This camcorder is very versitile. If you're willing to play with the macro switch, you can focus anywhere from 8" to infinity by adjusting it by infitismal ammounts since the switch actually physically moves a little lense.
The digital zoom is quite surprising. About 4/5 through 4X zoom, the camcorder suddenly snaps out of the blurring focus at 2/3 and details become quite clear. The zoon works very well with the macro mode to give quality very close-up footage.
The microphone captures what you're saying, not what's happening far away--very limited range.
The 'corder could be made lighter by removing the internal iron weight used to give it a nice feel.
Battery about the same size as the standard cell phone.
Image quality in 720 is good, minus the mid range digital zoom (really wierd. even full zoon is slighty better than mid.)
Photo range is much wider than video range (more picture...IE same distance and everything, the photo is like a zoom out from a video taken with the same settings.) photo size is 2 mbs, and quality is very good. Can take some awesome pictures and footage if used correctly.
Has 60 frames per second capability in SD 16:9 sport mode. Image stabalization only in 4:3 standard mode at 30 fps. 720p at 30 fps. Also has qvx option (low quality video)
For best results, your subject should be moving...not the camera.
