some absolute favorites-only because this would be WAY too long otherwise: drawing blood-poppy z. brite, flannery o'conner (anything) junky-william s. burroughs, metamorphasis-franz kafka, hellbound heart-clive barker, grendel-john gardner, almost anything by lovecraft, t.s. elliott, sarte, or colin wilson, I also like some of woody allen's writing.
