Loved the Harry Potter series; delighted by a good mystery ala Christie, Stout, etc.; absolutely adore Elizabeth Peters' Amelia Peabody collection, Lilian Braun's The Cat Who... series and Rita Mae Brown's Mrs. Murphy books. I like a little supernatural - Charlaine Harris, JK Rowling, Artemis Fowl, the classics - Frankenstein, Dracula, etc. Lifetime favorite book has always been The Scarlet Pimpernel.

Love old scary movies starring Chaney (Sr.), Karloff and Lugosi. Enjoy the colors and artistry of Chinese movies - even though I can't crochet and watch those at the same time: I have to read the subtitles. Classic westerns, good comedies, no overt gore - let me use my imagination, you don't have to splash blood & yuck everywhere. The Pirates of the Caribbean (all three) for the fun of it, An Affair to Remember (Grant/Kerr) for a good cry, and my very, very all time favorite is The Scarlet Pimpernel starring Leslie Howard.

Listen to just about anything. Love good blues - Sarah Vaughn, Memphis Minnie, Gatemouth & Cleanhead; classic Southern Rock, country - Johnny Cash & George Strait; classical - Boccelli & Medaeval Baebes; Native American;some funk; R&B. NO songs glorifying cop killing, abusing women, children or drugs.

Masterpiece Mystery on PBS. All three CSI shows, Numb3rs, NCIS, Ghost Whisperer, just about anything Ken Burns produces, Britcoms on PBS; have all the Buffy/Angel on DVD. PBS and The History Channel along with CBS would make a great cable package for me...although a brief obsession with Clean House resulted in 4 Tacoma truckloads of stuff going to the Salvation Army!!!! I could not watch that show without ew-ing and getting up to gather stuff to leave my house!
