eBay My World: catinhat27( 12)

I only occasionally sell on ebay. I still have an attic full of things I would like to sell; it is just a matter of putting forth the effort to take the pics and put them up on ebay. (You know how that goes!)

I buy whatever my sister tells me her daughters want for Christmas. Going shopping, traditional style (i.e., walking around the mall or department store), is about as pleasant for me as a colonoscopy. I have 4 words for traditional shopping: I don't do it.

I used to collect matchbooks from all over the United States and the world. Most businesses do not have the free matchbooks anymore that they did 20 years ago; but I still keep my eyes open. Also, as a kid I collected license plates that I saw on the side of the road while driving. The very 1st license plate I ever found was in 1983 while waiting in line at the toll booth as we crossed the Tappan Zee Bridge into Tarrytown, NY. The license plate was a NY vanity plate which read: BUBS TUB. My 15-yr-old imagination conjured up an image of a fat man who probably: 1) wore large, gold, gaudy chains; 2) sported a pair of designer shades; 3) drove a big cadillac; and 4) probably smoked a fat stogie, just like Tony Soprano (however, I could never decide on whether he was more likely white/Italian or black). Anyway, both hobbies are still alive, albeit somewhat less active.

When I was in high school (the early 80's), my favorite movie was Breakfast Club. A few years ago when I was dating my then-girlfriend (who is now my wonderful and gorgeous wife!), we watched and were instantly and deeply touched by the movie The Notebook.
