History/background
Catnip and Carrots Animal Bunch is an all volunteer organization focusing only on cats and rabbits. Governed by a 5 member Board of Directors, we were established in July of 2005 as the resident in-store adoption partner for PetSmart in Huntington Beach, CA. In November of 2006 we opened a second office in Monroe, Ohio. Though we no longer have an adoption facility, CandC continues it's mission to promote spay/neuter/microchip and adoption education and occasionally offering emergency veterinary care to at-risk animals. We also publish a quarterly newsletter, FurrY TaleS, with a mailing list of over 200 subscribers. Our long terms goals are to purchase a mobile spay/neuter clinic - the Surf City Neuter Scooter - for the city of Huntington Beach and to open a low cost Spay/Neuter clinic in Monroe. We are an IRS 501c3 public charity and rely solely on private donations and fundraisers. Our Federal Non-Profit Tax ID is #20-3198293.
