I am a retired Great Lakes Captian in semi-retirement. I love both ships and trains. Ships became my career and model trains became my hobby.

I sell new and used, (reconditioned), HO Scale moedel trains. I take great care in repairing and restoring old, used models to near their original state. I always list all deficiencies I may find while inspecting them. Many of the models I sell have new or rebuilt trucks and couplers, and always have the weight plates painted so as to resist rust.

I purchase mostly Soo Line, DSS&A engines and rolling stock, as well as a speckling of other Michigan, Ohio and related Canadian roads. I also have an extensive Beer Reffer collection, to which I am constantly adding to.

Marine or nautical meorabilla, also wood and plastic models of sailing and merchant ships and tugboats.

Fisihing, photography, collecting HO scale model railroad items and sailing vessels and ships. As bad as it sounds, I am also into Counted Cross-Stitch.

Anything about Great Lakes Lore and History, including the settling of the Northern Michigan region. Anything related to North American trains and their histories. Favorite book, Freshwater Fury by Frank Barcus.

Obviously, Titanic is at the head of the list, all three or four versions. Braveheart is a bit long but a very good movie, and last but nor least, Dancing with Wolves.

Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, The Moody Blues, The Beach Boys, The Association, and this list could go on forever.

Kyle XY, C.S.I. and C.S.I. Miami, Ghost Whisperer, Grey's Anatomy, among others.

I have sailed for various steamship companies and served in the U.S. Coast Guard, Retired from the U.S. Government with 27 years of service, and now work part time for a small cruise line based out of northern Michigan. This is my 43rd season working on the Great Lakes.
