All About MeWhat everyone should know about me
I truly care about my customers and their satisfaction with whatever they buy from me. That might be old-fashioned but American Businesses were 'once' like that in the past. I want to preserve old-fashioned business ways! You are EACH very important!

Favorite Job
Even though I am disabled, I am now working a job that I love. Selling online and communicating with customers. This is the best job I have ever had. I can hardly stay away from the computer to get anything else done. I love to offer new items every day. Something for everyone! Including me! I also love to buy! Most of my office equipment was purchased on eBay and I got awesome business equipment at awesome prices! I love to SELL and I love to SHOP. No more Wally World for me! Ebay for anything and everything. You get great quality and terrific prices! I haven't been to a mall in years now. I wake up every day looking forward to offering customers something else on eBay. Thank you each one for making my job a pleasant one that I can look forward to! I have learned to roll with the punches so to speak, so it is easy for me to wonder how much money I'll make this week! It's exciting somehow not to know! Even though I sometimes really cut it close on paying the bills.
Business InformationHistory/background
I met my husband, who is also a musician in 1995 and we married in 1997. He was a wiring technician for the banks and stores. He was caught in the big lay-off in 2001 and suddenly we had no income, no job. I wasn't working at the time because of health problems. He decided to open a music store and we took the last scrap of money we had, rented a building, bought merchandise and opened Gary's Stringed Instruments. The business was very successful, but my health worsened due to the stress, so we closed the store, sold our home and moved to another house I owned, and went totally with on-line sales at eBay to make a living. Selling on eBay is a job I love and can do! I love to offer items to customers at very affordable prices. I can now work when I'm able and rest when I have to. I am totally disabled, but still LOVE to WORK. I sell worldwide and deeply appreciate each and every customer who looks or buys. You are each very important to me.
Payment policy
Paypal is preferred because it is immediate and I depend on sales to live. I once accepted personal checks and money orders, but with the new ebay rules coming up, I am in process of accepting payment only through Paypal.
Shipping information
I try to ship the best possible way for each item sold. For instance, a musical instrument will ship either via USPS Priority or via UPS. I weigh all items when I figure in shipping, then figure the best way to ship that item. I always try to save my customers money with shipping. I will generally add anywhere from 25 cents to $1.00 to each order to help defray the cost of my shipping materials. I NEVER try to make money on shipping. I have figured shipping too high on a few occasions and actually refunded the difference to my customer! I try to get so close on shipping cost sometimes that I don't charge enough. It's been very difficult since the postal rates changed to get it exact. I ship books and other items that qualify, either media mail or first class, depending on the weight. I package every item with much care.
Return policy
I didn't use to offer a return policy at all, but to try to make my customers feel better about what they are buying I now offer a return policy. Item must be returned within 7 days. Not much time, but I have sold hundreds of items on ebay and have never had but one return request. I honored that request because I was selling something at the time that I didn't know much about and actually had not described it the best. They were unhappy...I took the return and refunded their money. That's the ONLY return I have ever had and it was back somewhere around 2002 in my first year of selling. That is basically the only way I accept a return. I have to have grossly misrepresented an item. Believe me, it can happen. Nobody knows everything about everything, but I do get appraisals on items that are expensive if I don't know how to write up the ad for it. I NEVER want to misrepresent anything to anybody and try my best not to and WILL make it right if I do something like that.
Contact information
I live way out in the country up in the mountains. I had to actually buy a satellite system and have it installed so that I could get online to sell. There is nothing available here but dial up and it is too slow to do my job. I don't have a phone anymore, but can be reached via my email through ebay, which I watch closely every day. That is the best way to reach me.
Feedback
I ALWAYS leave feedback. I try to always leave positive feedback for each and every customer. I try to work with my customers with any problems they may have. I really appreciate a customer leaving feedback for me. It helps me reach my goals. Feedback is one of the most important aspects of finishing up a sale. I look forward to receiving feedback. I have never had but one negative feedback and would not have gotten that had the customer contacted me first. But, she was new to eBay and just did what she thought she was supposed to do. I even refunded most of her money AFTER she left the negative feedback! I did let her know that in the future she should contact her seller first. If you buy from me and you're unhappy about something, PLEASE contact me before you leave any feedback. We can work the problem out, hopefully. YOU are VERY important to me and my feedback is very important to me also.
Other Shipping Information
I previously stated that I add anywhere from 25 cents to $1.00 to every sale to help defray the cost of shipping materials. There is another reason I add that small amount in. If I have to take the items to the post office, because of where I live, I have to drive about 22 miles of winding mountainous terrain to get to a post office. That's the closest one available. Takes a long time and a lot of gas to make that trip, so I have to add the small amounts to my orders to help me with that. I don't like having to pass any amount on to my customers but don't really have any other choice but to do so.
