Just like any artist willing to stick their neck out and face criticism, I too have done just this. There are no bragging rights at this point when it comes to galleries that have shut their doors due to recession. Why mention? But assure you I've been there and done that. I owned my own successful company and thus the Coastal Pillow Co. Hindsight~Pillows only? and eventually this blossomed into a new means of creating functional art. Not just sushi and fish shaped pillows, but an outlet via website for anything else I could imagine! This wore thin after a while, but I kept the Ebay name for the sake of positive history w/patrons. Ebay was an outlet for items that didn't move as fast on my actual website. I intend to continue with strictly painting until my last breath! O.K...maybe one or two other sculptures on occasion.
