The Bible, To Kill a Mockingbird

One of my favorite charities can be found at: www.helpinghandsinafrica.org. This fine group gives life-saving help to HIV/AIDS orphans with basic food, post traumatic counseling (after parents have died), and life and spiritual guidance. They also help surviving family members to care for those who are in the process of dying. South Africa has the largest AIDS affected population in Africa. Last Christmas, our church donated $173,000 to help this worthy non-profit organization establish six centers in remote areas that don't receive government aid. Part of my sales proceeds from 2006 also went toward the offering. Members from my church will be traveling to South Africa this summer to help out in tangible ways.
