This is a really nice gauge for plated headpins.... easy to work with. Good value.

Might work for children
I have a small head. The elastic bands were way too tight. I ended up having to buy elastic and re-sew onto the mask by hand to make it work. Probably would have been less expensive to just buy a pricier, better quality item to begin with. Don't waste your money unless you're planning to use for a child.

I would not recommend.
Very flimsy quality. I know it's not my technique in using, because I've been using bead spinners for years. These needles are so thin that they bend as soon as there is any weight added from the seed beads.
