I grew up in Southern California and attended the University of Southern California. I retired from the securities business after 30 years in 2003 for health reasons. My husband and I now live in the San Francisco Bay Area with our 2 cocker spaniels.

In 1987, I married the man of my dreams, Joe McDonough. He's taken care of me for 20 years and I don't what I'd do without him. When I became ill, he was there every day and every night to care for me. He is a wonderful man and he has a wonderful family. After 19 years, I have been blessed with having my nephew come back into my life. He lived with me in San Francisco for 4 years in the 1980's and disappeared after my father passed. His mother and I are estranged and I was concerned about trying to find him, but some family business finally brought us together again. I've never been happier. He's grown up into such a fine man. He is married to a lovely woman and they have 4 children. Their oldest daughter just had their first grandchild, a boy. They live in Pennsylvania, but we chat on the phone all the time. Every time I hear his voice, my heart sings. There was a time when I thought I would never see him again. I thank God that I was mistaken.
