Beautiful film! The vintage 1989 release is very special.
I bought this VHS because I wanted to fill-in my collection of the Disney Black Diamond Classics. It was one of the rarer movies in that product line and it's a great piece because it was one of the first Disney movies to be released on home video.

Beautiful film!
This is one of the Disney films that didn't play as huge of a part in my childhood because I found it hard to relate to but I picked it up not out of interest for the film's composer, Alan Menken, and not only did I find a music score that can dig into my soul and give me goosebumps like most other films can't, but it also delivered a strong moral message and the film re-assures us that animation can still be created at as high of a quality as some of Hollywood's most notable films.
