as a 56 year old stroke victim my ebay store is my first attempt at becoming a self-sufficient, productive contributor to my own life. fired from my previous job because of the stroke i was asked why don't you fight to get your job back. my answer to that is; would you want to work with people like that? my answer is an ebay store were the only one who is going to fire me is myself and i know im not going to do that. thank you very much if i am ever going to contribute to the world it has to be doing something i love (thrift stores and saving our planet) and if iam going to ever work that hard ( i have been working since i was 22 years old full time) it will not be for somebody else. i am going to put those thousands upon thousand of hours in to my own ebayness

worked as a waitress (cocktail,diningroom,banquette) for 10 years, went to college and recieved an associate degree in science recieved a certified liscence from the medical society of clinical pathology as a medical laboratory technician. worked in the laboratory at Sewickley Valley Hospital in Pa for 10 years. from 1981 til 1992.worked in the retail sector from 1994 until 2006, data entry, telemarketing, newspaper vending, thrift store, convenience store, book store, and i also applied to a major bus company for a job as bus driver, i got excepted into their school but failed (not from lack of trying) they just felt i was not what they were looking for. though i must say it was alot of fun for a 50 year old women and i learned to back a 40 foot bus through a serpentine and though i doubt if i am ever going to use that talent in real life i still have it and will put it with other talents like haveing an eye for color and seeing an item and knowing when it is worth saving

as i am new it ebay i am following what other people have advised me to do and i am sticking to paypal only and till i am better learned and versed in this new profession i feel i should stick to that decission

again i am following advise from fellow ebayers in that they feel it is best to stick with the shipping options offered when you are uploading your listing

as i am new at ebay so have not had to deal with this problem yet and feel if i ever am i will be flexable and in tune with my customers needs trying to make transactions as amicable as possible both ways

as a follower of the tao, recovering stroke victim, budding vegetarian, i feel we have an obligation to our planet, which is only a small speck in the cosmos, but as all things an important speck. from the smallest amoeba that started life in our universe we cannot no more fathom its consceince then we can honestly fathom our own when we don't obey the call to preserve, love and care for this planet which we so totally ignore yet so utterly love. obedience to good love is about sacrifices even small ones. that is why i started a thrift store where i can sell items that might end in a landfill and try to save our planet one second hand item at a time. my final contribution (and only mine, i don't judge anyone elses commitment to saving our planet) i have neither had a car nor used heat in my house since 1996: this my commitment of conservation in preserving my planet. starting an ebay store is another commitment. so chose to help me save the world one gift from the cosmos at a time

since this all began in approximately 2002 when i began to have what they call transient ishemic attacks, my left arm would go numb for 20 seconds, not nowing what they were i just waited for them to pass. then in april of 2006 i had two major strokes. now i understand two things, what blessings are and when god closes one door he opens another. the damage i have is called loss of executive function, my eyesight and motor skills came back, loss of executive function is your short term memory cannot be transformed into long term without major difficulty. for me this translated into okay i do have major difficulty transfering data into long term memory but it can be done, i still have 52 years worth of cataloged memory i can fall back on. now for the real blessings i am recovering and what god did for me is in 2003 i started to write: poems, hiaku,short stories, and childrens stories, something i had always admired in others im an avid reader now i could do myself as haase john
