As a second child of second-born parents, I was delivered at home without medical professionals, and in my lifetime I've, heard Martin Luther King speak, waded in the Persian Gulf, slept through a Japanese earthquake, driven in the motorcade of former President Ford, survived a Cuban hurricane, authored published research, interviewed a survivor of the Titanic disaster, stood atop a dormant volcano, greeted Jesse Owens, as a child, climbed a 7th Wonder of the Ancient World, met my Governor, Senator, Congressman, and Mayor, seen a comet (twice), stood under Niagra Falls, acquired every Ali cover Sports Illustrated magazine and had him sign one, covered an Obama rally, met 2 Presidents and the First Family at the White House, exited unscathed from a fatal automobile accident, crossed the International Date Line, crossed the Mason Dixon Line, and have done red carpet with George Clooney, Bernie Mac, Matt Damon, and Don Cheadle.
