Vastly improves TV/movie audio when added to a 2.1 stereo/subwoofer system.
We have a wall-mounted, 32" Samsung high-definition TV in the living room of our new house. Originally, it was not connected to a receiver or any other amplification equipment. The picture was excellent; however, my wife also wanted to listen to the music on some of the audio-only channels that were available with our cable subscription. I happened to have a very fine, older-model, Yamaha home theater receiver that we weren't using; so, we purchased a Bose Acoustimass system (2 stereo cube arrays with a passive subwoofer -- but no center speaker). The stereo sound of the Bose Acoustimass sytem was fantastic, and the music channels sounded great. My wife was ecstatic. However, I noticed that watching TV shows and movies was satisfactory but a center speaker was needed for optimum effect. I contacted Bose Tech Support and asked if an additional cube array connected to the receiver's center channel output would improve the TV/movie audio. The technician responded affirmatively but said the Bose VCS-10 Center Speaker would do an even better job. Unfortunately, he added, Bose no longer makes the VCS-10 Center Speaker; however, the good news was that plenty were available on e-bay. I found that he was right (although most were going for more than the original $150 price offered by Bose!) Nonetheless, I found one that was in excellent cosmetic and functioning condition (for a little less than $150, including shipping). I connected it the Yamaha receiver/Bose Acoustimass system, and it worked like charm. Now, watching TV shows/movies is pure joy -- about as good as you can get without purchasing a full-blown 5.1 surround sound system. And listening to music is also excellent; although, for audiophile "purists," I'd probably recommend turning off/muting the center channel when listening to stereophonic music without any video. If you currently have only a 2.1 audio system connected to your TV, the Bose VCS-10 Center Speaker is something you simply must get! A soundbar would also work; however, I don't think it could come close to the Bose Acoustimass + VCS-10 center speaker setup describe above. Get one -- you won't be disappointed!

Easy setup; perform perfectly; great value!
I purchased this product to connect the surround sound speakers of my home theatre system without having to run the speaker wires through the walls or ceiling or leaving them exposed, where someone could trip over them. Setup up was very simple. I connected the transmitter and receiver as per the instructions. I plugged in the modules and depressed the "ON" button of each one. The modules "found" each other immediately and worked perfectly -- no problems whatsoever. And, thus far, I've had no problems with them picking up any extraneous wireless frequencies or other communications. When they're not broadcasting the intended signals, they're absolutely quiet -- no hiss or hum.
