The close up photo is a screen shot of the live video. I also purchased on of these last year and it is the wide photo. Wit h next nay amazon the over 1 week delivery time seemed like forever but it did arrive 2 days before the estimated delivery. For $59.00 you can get 7 day 24 hour recording on the could. This camera had very good night vision
