I was born in the Missouri Ozarks, but spent part of my childhood on the island of Cyprus and then began school in Guildford, England. My family returned to Missouri where I completed my education. I am now living in Tennessee.

I began painting at young age, encouraged by my artist father. I am drawn to whimsical, folk art. I am a musician, so you will see an instrumental theme in some of my works. I find myself in another world when I am painting - peaceful and satisfying. My dogs are always snoozing nearby or under my painting table.
