I have bought a lot of garbage mics (and other items) on eBay, and on other sites, that did not work. I figured if people could hear the actual mic before buying it, that would be good. So I include videos of the actual microphone in the auction listing whenever possible. Now you can be confident that it works, AND hear what it sounds like. Also, I like to see exactly what I am bidding on, and I figure you do, too. That is why I try to include as many pictures as possible, from every angle--especially the mic connector! There is no reason not to show your product if you are not trying to hide something, is there?
