Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
Great movie! Refreshingly differing, full of surprises, funny and fast paced. The acting is outstanding. Between Kilmer and Downey, you will be laughing one minute, crying the next from the depth of emotions both of these amazing actors can bring forth. Don't miss this one!

From Where You Learn
Not for the casual writer, but for those who truly strive for art. This is a boot camp session by the incomparable Robert Olen Butler for anyone not fortunate enough to be enrolled in his MFA class. His in-depth analysis of the dream space as it relates to the creative process enlightened me where countless others have not. He dissects the nature of concrete and abstract in a way that made me feel that I could apply it to my writing at last. The book is a complete course, with lectures, exercises and feedback and is the perfect companion to Janet Borroway's Writing Fiction. These may be the only two meaningful "how to write" books written in the last several decades. And if you like this book, you will probably love his archived online short story course at www.fsu.edu/butler. What a gift that is!
