Hello! My name is Jan, I began my experience making Jewelry when I was a teenager in High School. As a single, at home Mom to a very young child - I began my business doing trade/craft shows around New England. Since then I created many specialty lines and was quite successful at selling to Service Clubs, Armed Forces and the like, throughout Massachusetts. A very active Lions Club International Member, I also created a line that offered my Home Club a percentage of sales to help in Research for the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmery in Boston, MA. Through my personal donations, I also helped establish the 'Mobile For Sight' Traveling Eye Mobile, a revamped 18 Wheeler Trailer built to offer Eye and Hearing Testing for those less fortunate. A: A Brass Stamping is a design stamped out of 100% Brass Material. All of my brass stamping Jewelry is either Plated with 14K Gold or Sterling Silver Plating. This plating is a process of coating the Brass with a layer of Gold or Silver. They are Very Durable, If Brass is not plated however, with time they patina, a gorgeous process because it gives them such an old victorian look. Q: What is Mother of Pearl (MOP)? A: is the lining of a shell. It is usually the same color, composition and quality as the pearls that were produced by the particular mollusk. Mother-of-pearl is often used in jewelry designs because of its regal and sophisticated look. Q: What is Cloisonne/Enamel? A: Is created by applying powdered glass, colored with oxides, to a base metal under high temp. to melt the glass and fuse it to the metal surface.
