Our idea is to train enough people from the poor communities so that they too can learn to trade on e-bay and that way get away from criminality, drugs and become inserted socially and politically in their environment. People in the US would become amazed at how just a little extra income can mantain and provide for families the dignity they deserve and are unable to receive via the normal economic ladder system.
This is where we intend to develop a course study on e-bay selling for the poor residents of the surrounding communities of Rio de Janeiro - Brazil. We believe that if these kids can learn to sell on e-bay they will make enough so as to not to resort to drug dealing and violence, let´s hope we are right!
Things I buy
We mostly receive items as donations and they cover a vast array of products. This in fact is what makes this work so interesting because we learn from these products and like to pass on what we learn to our bidders. One very important element and premisse of our work is that we do not sell socially incorrect items such as guns or the like. We only list items which are guaranteed good quality items and that are working well since we wish the e-bay experience to be a constructive and rewarding one for all our buyers and we strive to achieve that. Yes, every once in a while we run into bidders who are not serious and who don´t take e-bay seriously and do not follow up with e-bay guidelines but they are definetly the minority here and when you look at their own feedback history you will identify that firstly they are buyers for the most since no seller such as ourselves can survive by selling a lot of bad products and second that most of their positive feedback comes from items they b
