SAYIN SY-950 AM-FM SHOWER RADIO - A Great Little "Transistor Radio" just like back in 1968!
Great FM Reception! Great battery life on three AAA alkaline batteries!!
It sounds like the best small Japanese transistor radios of the 1968 to 1971 era.
This SAYIN SY-950 AM-FM SHOWER RADIO is essentially a "Transistor Radio".
It is very small just like from the old days. Size is approx 3.5 inches wide and about 5 inches tall. It sounds and performs just like a SONY or National-PANASONIC transistor radio from 1968. SONY and PANASONIC were the world's best by a huge margin back at that time.
This is a great radio to strap on to your bicycle handlebars. I use a cut piece of innertube that is approximately 14 inches long and 1 inch wide to strap the SAYIN SY-950 on to the left side of the bicycle's handlebars.
This little radio stays tuned to the station, road bumps do not change this.
FM reception is fantastic.
The battery life is great.
The built in carry Loop (carry handle) is a great feature. The battery compartment is well designed. It is a really good "transistor radio".
If you are seeking boom box audio quality, you need to search for a different product, but if you want a great "transistor radio" to hear AM/FM broadcasts in your bathroom or wherever you wish to use this "transistor radio", you'll really enjoy this one because it works very well for the "transistor radio" that it essentially it is.
If you don't know what a transistor radio sounds like because maybe you weren't alive in 1967, so you may wish to ask your grandparents or your parents.
It certainly would be good to catch the broadcast play by play on a football game or basketball game, or if you like talk radio.
I highly recommend this SAYIN SY-950 AM-FM as it is a great "transistor radio" like the best ones from Japan from fifty years ago, except with much better battery life!
