To support my passion for our Scottish Terriers, I began painting people’s dogs (and horses, cats, ferrets, etc.) on ornaments, bags, leather boxes, and pins for friends and family in high school and soon began selling my work as a vendor at dog shows. When I started graduate school, I continued my business, Painted Pooches, to supplement my student loans and my growing brood of pets! In addition to exhibiting at art shows, craft shows, dog and horse events, and trade shows, we have had an online presence since 1997. Having completed my doctorate in May, we are now focusing on expanding our product lines to include bath decor (shower curtains, valances, etc.).
