Emily Miller: A Nashville native, Emily began painting at age 30. Mostly self-taught, she began showing her work in 1998 at My Friend’s Place in Green Hills. She went on to sell at Simply Natural Stores in Florida, Fusion on 8th, The Other Side Gallery, Grace’s Plaza, Bookstar, The Belmont Alumni Art Show, The Lipscomb Art Exhibit, The Brentwood Academy Art Show, The New Hope Academy Art Show, and The Harding Academy Art Show. Emily has donated works for numerous charity auctions. Her paintings are available at Local Color Gallery, and The Shoppes of Belle Meade. Emily received a BA in Philosophy and English from Belmont University. While an undergraduate, she studied Literature and Art in Ireland, then went on to do graduate work in English Education. “Both life and art can be rough around the edges, often dark, worn, scuffed, and stained. Yet at the heart, both are solid, unique, spiritual, extremely colorful, and poignantly beautiful.”
