Better than renting!
Better than renting! Why pay month after month to rent one from the cable company when you can purchase it outright working but used for far, far less? Couldn't be happier - and the cable company has stopped nagging me with "please get a DOCSIS 3.1 modem..."

Purchased for parts - but surprise! It works!
This was purchased for parts -- and was listed as an "as-is" non working unit. A little tweaking (master reset button, and some cleaning!) and it actually works... These Sony HC series are amazingly well built and work well. This one is a cosmetic mess on the outside, but ugly is not an issue with the video quality or features. So, if you know some things about fixing camcorders, you can get a real steal at times at prices that are amazing.

Good quality labels at a fraction of the cost
Brother tape labelers are quite handy, especially the ones with laminated tapes. But the cost of replacement tape cartridges at big box stores is outrageous - often more than the cost of the label machine itself! These generic ones fit perfectly, work like the "real" ones and deliver what you expect.
