About the Duttons
My husband, Paul, and I dated in H.S. but didn't marry until after our 15 yr. class reunion. I graduated from Mich. State Univ. and majored in everything but art. I'm great at Trivial Pursuit. When our son, Paul III, was small, I took my first painting lessons. Finally, after Paulie had graduated from Mich. Tech and my nest was empty, I took real painting lessons from Nick Van Frankenhuizen, a reknown Mich. wildlife artist. He gave me the freedom and courage to paint what I want as well as talking me into switching from oil to acrylics. When Paul and I began Dutton Family Sales LLC, a wholesale lamp company, about 5 years ago, he asked me to try wildlife lampshades. It was tricky learning to paint on a curved, slanted surface. I kept getting curving horizons, but I've learned. I get quite a few custom orders, and I've gotten unusual requests like a carved entrance to a wildlife ranch, but, so far, I've satisfied all my customers. Feel free to custom order at 989-834-5812.
Business InformationHistory/background
Wildlife Lampshades Hand-Painted has sprung from Dutton Family Sales LLC wholesale lamp company which is still my wholesale outlet--stores only! The wholesale sales of my shades in Mich., Wis., and Ind. have gone well. Some buyers have sold the shades in KY and MA. Now it's time to try retail to real people who love nature and wildlife all over the country. How better to do that than on ebay. Although I try to keep an inventory of shades, I do about 80 different ones and keep designing new ones, I might not still have the exact one in my picture, but I will do a very similar one for you. It could even be better as that's what happens the more I paint. Shades painted in brown have a warm golden glow when lit up. The black painted ones were originally designed to go with black metal animal lamps but turned out to look great on most lamps. Although the animals are in silhouette, the birch trees, which I use liberally, are not. How else would you know it was a birch?
Payment policy
We are using immediate payment to PayPal for ebay orders. if you want to custom order call 989-834-5812 and we will discuss payment at that time. All financial transactions will be done thru PayPal.
Shipping information
USPO is our choice for shipping; either Parcel Post or Priority Mail. We are using a flat rate which will cover insurance, packing which will be quite complex to keep a lampshade safe, and postage. We will use Priority if their is enough money left in the flat rate fee whenever possible, otherwise, we will use Parcel Post.
Return policy
If a shade is damaged, you can take it to your P.O.. We will go by ebay's and PayPal's rules otherwise.

The Dutton Family
My husband, Paul, and I live in the country and love it. We used to sell Christmas trees which we had planted in the back acres, but, at one point, I said I didn't want to have anymore cut and we let the rest grow. We now have a lovely blue and green spruce woods which lots of animals choose to call home. I can sit in my studio and watch deer, turkeys, rabbits, and other critters frolicing around. We feed birds and our neighbor feeds the deer so there's lots of activity. Paulie, our son, is an engineer and he and his wife, Sarah, a teacher, have settled in the Seattle area. We have 3 darling little grandchildren whom we don't get to see very often. All of us love the U.P. of Michigan and any other area with forests and water.
