Sleek and Efficient, it never crashes and is very dependable.
The iPhone is hands down my favourite smartphone. I have owned the Blackberry and the Mytouch, and the iPhone is much more durable, easy to use, ergonomic, and comfortable. I have had the first generation, the 3G, and currently use the 3GS. With 32GB I have plenty of space for my extensive music library and many apps. Sometimes the processor seems a bit slow and can get bogged down when switching apps, but it never freezes completely nor does it shut down unexpectedly. The battery life could be greater, but then again this phone is now at least two years old. Sometimes the audio is not great, meaning the sound during calls. Though I generally can hear others, I imagine that sometimes they do not hear me clearly. My brother says that the radio chip in this phone is inferior. My major beef is not a hardware dilemma as much as the corporate issues with this phone. I like to have a jailbroken phone. Not as much for the free apps, but rather so that I can unlock it and use it on T-Mobile which I have had for many years and appreciate their lower price and good customer service. Unfortunately the iPhone will not function on 3G with Tmobile and can only use the dreadfully slow Edge/T-Zones networks which mean no real internet service. Fine for checking emails on occasion, but if yo are on the move and need google maps for directions, well forget it. If you want to hear a song or watch a video on Youtube you can forget about that as well. Wifi only for internet. For many reasons I need regular internet service, so I decided to try out the HTC Sensation which was just released. Although my wife has the Mytouch 4G and I am familiar with the Android system, I found it unfamiliar and a bit uncomfortable to use. I much prefer the simplicity and ergonomics of the iPhone. It just has a very natural feel to it. Also the Screen- on the iPhone your finger slides gently in any direction at any time. I find all other screens to be sticky and not accommodating to high humidity, though I suppose with a screen protector it could be somewhat ameliorated. I would just like to see the iPhone 5 come out with an option for Tmobile customers now that the monolithic AT&T has swallowed up this fair company, at least give us the iPhone as a consolation...

The Capabilities of the iPhone 3GS
Recently the iPhone 4 was released and everyone with a 3GS decided to put their old phone on eBay. Though the iPhone 4 had a few new features such as Facetime and a faster processor, as well as a slightly modified design, most other revisions came with the software update so therefore the 3GS remains a very contemporary phone. Though the App Store is a great base for useful applications, to get the full spectrum of uses for the 3GS is must be jailbroken with the added repository of Cydia to get such features as HD video and many other apps not approved by Apple. This is generally an easy process, as the iPhone Dev Team is continuously in an arms race cracking every update and patch that Apple releases. This is a fun cat-and-mouse game to play, as you get the benefits of every update without having to lose your outside applications. The 3GS is a highly recommended phone, it is much more popular than the Blackberry for good reason- the web browser is faster, the aesthetics are more pleasing, and the number of applications is staggering on the iPhone. Even many diehard Blackberry users are switching of late. The iPhone sets the industry standard for the smartphone market, so why not pick one up on eBay for a great price? If you are diligent you can get one for under $300 and even if you use it for a year its resale value is guaranteed as long as it is kept in good condition. My only complaint about this phone is the reception. Obviously the antennae on the Blackberry is stronger. Hopefully Apple will focus on this issue with the iPhone 5 aka iPhone V.
