I am now in my early 50s and have been working since I was 15. I'm a Navy vet, have two daughters and one teenage granddaughter. I love animals and have a Border Collie and a Chihuahua. I also rescue sick, injured and abandoned animals.

I sell vintage, antique and sometimes newer jewelry and other items. I am now specializing in jewelry but am not an expert or authority. I am still learning and try to describe my items to the best of my ability.

I purchase my items from local garage sales, estate sales and auctions. Occasionally I purchase lots of jewelry from e-bay for resale. I try to buy and list good quality items.

I collect so many different things. I started with teapots but now also collect pie birds, sewing figures and pin cushions, pheasants, and elephants. I own a large collection of Barbies from my childhood and sometimes buy new, unusual Barbies to add to the lot.

I like scary books, science fiction, and lately I've been reading a lot of books about women. My favorite book is Water for Elephants.

Scent of a Woman, Nacho Libre, Wall-e, X-Tro, and any Mystery Science Theater 2000 movies. I just watched Wall-E twice in a row! Loved it!

Although I enjoy listening to many kinds of music, soft rock is my favorite followed by blues, then bluegrass. I am trying to learn to play the fiddle but it's difficult since I grew up playing classical on the violin.

You know, I'm way to busy for TV but when watching I like the BBC shows Cash in the Attic, You are What You Eat, and my favorite, BARGAIN HUNT. I relax with cartoons on Adult Swim and still watch Sponge Bob and Ren and Stimpy. What happened to Rocko's Modern Life?

I LOVE dogs and I love helping dogs. I have two dogs of my own. Gabby, a black & white chihuahua, 9 years old, 7 pounds; and Marlo my border collie, about 50 pounds and we don't know the age but maybe about 6 years old. Marlo was dumped out here in the country so I took her in and she's been happy here ever since. Gabby, I got her from a chihuahua kennel in Auxvasse, MO when she was just about three months old. Gabby is extremely crabby and moody. Marlo is playful, rough, loves to dig up my yard, look for baby bunnies to watch over, and chase anything that moves. I often rescue dogs that have been abandoned or dumped in the country, clean them up, fix them up, fatten them up, whatever their need is including veterinary care. Then we find them really good homes. I'm glad I am able to help.

I've previous owned a Jazzercise franchise and was a certified massage therapist working for local spas and chiropractors. I also drove a big tractor-trailer. But before all that fun I worked in an office, the old 9-5. I'm also a Navy vet, E-4, Crypto Tech, Maintenance.

I use USPS for almost all of my shipping and prefer to ship priority mail. All my rates are calculated through e-bay by weight, size of package and shipping zones. No other charges are added. I leave insurance optional on most items but always recommend it on more expensive items. I package very well. I want my items to arrive safely and in good time. I never make a profit on shipping charges and sometimes offer free shipping.

I do accept returns on most items if you feel they were not as described. I refund the full price of the item but do not refund shipping costs. Items must be returned within seven days of receipt. I refund by Paypal, USPS money orders, or merchandise exchange. Most of these items are used so please read my listing carefully and ask questions. I can always send more pictures to your e-mail address if you would like more detailed pics of an item.

My e-bay store is full of different vintage items and some newer items. I named my store Georgia Vintiques after my grandmother, Georgia. I thought it would be a nice way to honor a woman who raised a daughter, alone, during the depression era. The word vintiques is Vintage+Antiques. I began selling a few items on e-bay and now use it to supplement my income. I want my customers to be happy with their purchases. I try to describe items to the best of my ability but am not an expert. I think the e-bay experience should be fun and it should be a place where you can get good value for your money. I purchase all of my items, none of them are free. I start my auction items at a price low enough to cover the cost of my items and all the e-bay and Paypal fees.

I believe the whole buying experience is important. From placing that first bid to receiving and inspecting your item. I want my customers to be happy. I try to describe items to the best of my ability and, if I make a mistake, will try to work out a reasonable resolution of the problem. I do have a return policy if there is a problem with your item on receipt. I recommend purchasing insurance to cover your item during shipment.
