4 of 4 found this helpful This is a fast and reliable machine. I use my Macs for music and video production and this one is doing the job nicely. I opted for the 17" model because the 15" models no longer include the expresscard 34 slot and I have a couple that I often use (a 4 port USB and a 2 port FW800). Of course, a larger screen is always nice as well! Having all the ports (ethernet, FW800, mini display, expresscard, and 3 USB) on one side is kind of weird but not causing any real problems. I really miss having a firewire 400 in addition to the firewire 800 port.
The display is clear and bright, the keyboard nice (although I normally connect an external one) and the uni-body construction seems solid. Overall it's a fantastic computer that I expect to be using well into the future.
