Bought one a couple years ago - just bought another
For two people the filter lasted over the expected time. It does say family and more baths, we have one. But dishwasher, we do lots of laundry, take showers... I'd say after three years it started to have a restricted flow.
Interesting part was, I took it off the line, bypass, while I was waiting for the new unit to arrive. I immediately noticed the odor in our well water had increased. So we went way over the expected age and it was still working. I'm impressed.
New cartridge will be easy to change and I'm planning on putting the whole house filter under the kitchen sink on the cold water. That should last even longer and double filter the drinking water.
Yes we have a well with moderately hard water. It has iron and particle matter. The filter works. But why not, that's typical of everything that comes from 3M :-)

This unit delivers what it promises to do, and works. SImple and inexpensive.
Doesn't turn off, you have to remove the battery. Only detraction I can find. Needs a little weight adjustment for a GoPro but I really don't think it was intended for a tiny Session 5
Otherwise, read the instructions, guess what they say, push buttons, and eventually you'll get it. Nice and simple, it works, remote is easy.
