Blues Jimmy Rogers Page Mahal Richards Clapton Jagger
Wow this is such a legendary band that also includes Jeff Healey Lowell Fulson Stephen Stills and Robert Plant. It is intended to be a tribute jamm session but sadly ended in Jimmy Rogers passing but what an outstanding send off! Jimmy Rogers was one of the most under rated but most influential Chicago blues innovators. Originally with Muddy Waters and Little Walter to be in the Muddy waters Band. He broke ground with many of his guitar techniques that any of the rock stars involved say was one of their biggest influences. Get this CD because it sizzles from the beginning to end. Wish I could find it on vinyl but I will just be happy that at least I have a copy of this!If anyone gets a copy get in contact with me at my E-Bay store Albumholics Audiophiles Anonymous.

Gotta get it!!!
This is also kick ass check out my other Tommy reviews.who else could eeasily step into blackmores shoes and actually add to the Purple sound!I love it and all the different grooves he puts to his music in these versions this is definetely still fresh now in 2008 what a blessed creative talent we lost and I just imagine where his music would have tooken him as well as his fans such as myself. This cd is not to be missed or wrote of get them for yourself! Albumholics Audiophiles Anonymous! Albumholics audiophiles Anonymous!

Steve Morse Guitar Deep Purple Perpendicular
Never believed that anyone could replace Ritchie Blackmore because to me and many early fans Blackmore was Deep Purple. I loved Tommy Bolin but even his virtuoso guitar playing on " Come Taste the Band" as Blackmore replacement just did not have the feel or Purple sound that I missed as much as I still got into the lp. Perpendicular now has totally tooken me and has me in awe of the cd and just how thouroughly good the groove is with all the parts completly meshing to make a whole. Steve Morse is incredible and once in the groove Gillian, Lord, Paice, and Glover are of course perfect band mates being all original Purple members so no complaints I turn this on and listen completely because all tracks are excellent and for those not familiar give it a spin sometime. I have about 25 Purple lps in my collection and this cd has became one of my favorites and is a must have for the Purple fan. Deep Purple is still one of the monster bands that still is one of my biggest sellers in my music store Albumholics Audiophiles Anonymous so I strongly recommend giving this a spin!
